Aer Lingus and Ryanair carry most UK traffic to Cork, with Aer Lingus Regional (operated by Emerald Airlines) adding services from several regional airports. Ryanair flies from London Stansted and London Gatwick, along with bases such as Manchester, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Bristol and Leeds Bradford. Aer Lingus links Cork with London Heathrow, while its regional arm serves cities including Birmingham, Bristol and Edinburgh. These are direct flights, with a typical time of around 1 hour 20 minutes from London and roughly an hour from Manchester.

At Cork Airport (ORK)

Cork Airport sits about 8km (5 miles) south of the city on the N27, making it one of Ireland's simplest airports to use. Bus Eireann route 226 runs frequently to the city centre and Kent Station in around 20 to 30 minutes, with onward coaches towards Killarney and west Cork. Taxis wait outside the terminal and reach the centre in roughly 15 minutes, while the major car hire desks are in the arrivals hall if you plan to explore the wider region.
